I can’t imagine what she must have 
been thinking. 
The journey from Judea to Bethlehem would have taken them 4-5 days. Nothing to busy her hands or her mind. Just time and distance. The weight of knowing who she was carrying but also not fully understanding the magnitude of it all. We as mothers carry the responsibility of raising our children to walk in the way of the Lord. Offering strength and comfort, love and support. How do you lend strength to the Messiah, the Savior, the King?
And yet she was willing.
