My “Artist verse” is Matthew 5:16
Chapter 5 in Matthew is the famous Sermon on the Mount.
Jesus was speaking to a large crowd and began with The B attitudes telling them blessed are the . . . For they will receive . . . He was giving us a road map for how to live our lives and follow Him. He then went on to say that we are the salt of the earth and explained how salt preserves and adds flavor, then says that we are the light of the world, and we are to let our light (which comes from Him) shine before men to glorify our Father in Heaven. So that is what this painting is all about.
